Duchen — who’s been on the HOA board for years and now serves as President — has made Alteza's life a nightmare. Instead of helping address a termite infestation in her home, which the HOA should have helped handle, Duchen has wasted time and money by hiring a lawyer to fight her — dragging out the battle for 18 weeks now.
Duchen treats residents poorly and refuses to listen to their concerns. So when she learned he was running for city council, Alteza knew she had to speak out so no one else would suffer like she has.

This website is stirring some feathers. We've been accused of employing nasty campaign tactics and dirty tricks, but the fact is — we're just telling the truth.
You wouldn't know that if you read Ken Martin's recent puff piece in The Austin Bulldog, though. Ken did the best he could to discredit this website and the truth about Marc Duchen, but that's hard to do when you're disputing sourced facts.
Ken never reached out to us for comment, and when we asked him to include our statement he rudely refused.
Here is our statement:
We cannot sit idly by and watch Marc Duchen mislead the electorate about his background, his leadership, and the support he’s accepted from Republican extremists.
We are not using negative campaign tactics — we are simply educating voters about the truth. It’s a fact that Marc Duchen has taken hundreds of dollars from the former chair of the Travis County Republican Party. It’s a fact that Marc Duchen’s HOA resident, Alteza, said that living under his leadership as HOA President has been “an absolute nightmare.” It’s a fact that Marc Duchen has engaged with known MAGA extremist Matt Mackowiak.
These are facts that D-10 voters should know and think through before voting in this election.
It’s also a fact that in 2016, Marc Duchen was the Treasurer for the “Arbor PAC.” That PAC not only spent money against the candidate they were opposing but also created a website called “GalloForSale.com.” Our campaign tactics are not dirty — and they’re also not new. In fact, we got the idea for “DontTrustDuchen.com” from Marc Duchen himself, who has used the exact same campaign tactics we’re using.
